Product: Aluminium framed sliding shutters
A number of sliding shutters have been designed to suit the windows at first floor level and the building entrance, adding eye-catching features to the courtyard area of this project.
Each shutter is constructed from a standard aluminium frame and installed to a soft wood support build up; the infill panels are bonded to the aluminium frame allowing almost any material to be suitable for this application.

Product: Bespoke Timber Shutters
This private residence was designed with focus on creating an introverted building that drew a considerable amount of its light from above or from windows facing private internal courtyards. With the site surrounded by other properties avoiding overlooking was also critical to the design.
Both static and sliding timber shutters, designed and installed by Contrasol, combine to create an effective and eco friendly addition to this development and compliment the building to produce warm and appealing design aesthetics.
The property has been constructed to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 standards. It utilises air source heating, passive ventilation and rainwater harvesting
