BDG Architects

A £35million new school building in Hillingdon that will allow the school to offer 1,080 places for pupils in the borough.

BDG architecture and design were appointed by Sky to create ‘Digital Centre of Excellence’ Northern hub for Sky. BDG worked with Sky to review a number of buildings in Leeds leading to the selection and development of an occupation strategy of three buildings along the dock side in Leeds.

BDG undertook the Cat A and B design of the new centre to accommodate over 700 staff in a total of 6,500m2 of space.

The buildings were double height empty shells, previously retail units in a mixed-use development. BDG worked with Sky to develop the internal cores, new mezzanine floors, vertical circulation and flexible workspace creating a dynamic campus with a ‘tech start-up’ mentality, to attract and retain new staff from technology graduates to experienced digital delivery professionals.

Specialist facilities include small live to air tv studio; edit suites; user experience lounge and test labs alongside the workplace and support functions of the office.
