This development, located next to a new hospital and care home in Henley-on-Thames, forms part of a Health and social well-being campus and features extensive use of our Bi Folding 40/40 shutter system and 200mm Aerofoil Brise Soleil system all powder coated in a complimenting grey.
The introduction of quality hard and soft landscaping, both to private gardens and communal amenity and circulation areas, was key to fulfilling the client’s aspirations for the scheme and improving the setting of the development to maximise value. At the heart of the scheme a large terraced courtyard was created, utilising the natural slope of the site to create secured undercroft car parking below.
The market units are situated in three Grade II listed and curtilage listed historic buildings, first constructed in 1790, and a new build block.
The layout and interior design of each townhouse within the historic buildings is bespoke, developed to enhance the historic features, proportions and setting of the buildings, whilst providing contemporary, open plan, living areas.
The new build element of the development, provides a contemporary counterpoint to its neighbours, with large floor to ceiling openings. The proportions, grammar and materiality, however, borrow heavily from the surrounding historic buildings. Large terraces to the penthouse floors provide unrivalled views over the Thames valley below.
