The new Leisure Centre was built on the site of the original centre as part of the borough’s Olympic legacy and will boast the latest facilities for the next generation of Newham residents.
It has a 25 metre six lane main pool and 20 metre training pool, gym, two fitness studios, group cycling studio, café, crèche and soft play area.
The centre was built to include the latest energy efficient technology to turn waste heat into electricity to help power the centre, reusing the rainwater collected on the roof and our Brise Soleil to provide solar shading and prevent overheating. We also provided a bespoke perforated screen to make up a picture of the council crest above the main entrance.
