Tileman House is a stunning mixed use redevelopment of a vacant 1960’s office block. The site provides 69 flats, together with 25,000 sq ft of commercial space including car parking, café, restaurant and commercial uses at ground and first-floor level, and has strong transport links close by.

Ranging from six and eleven stories, the scheme offers a wide variety of at types and sizes ranging from duplex penthouses with double height living spaces to a number of affordable homes; aimed at professional and families with children alike.

The T-shaped building form has been skillfully handled to express the three blocks as distinct buildings in the elevation, and sits comfortably within the surrounding context. Sliding timber privacy screens add interest and animation to the façade whilst projecting glass boxes form ‘winter gardens’ for apartments on the upper floors – taking full advantage of fantastic high level views across London. Tileman House sets an important precedent
