A mixed-use development bordering the Thames on the old Hammersmith Distillery Site, Fulham Reach provides blocks of premium residential flats with leisure facilities and retail shell and core units to the ground floor.
The leisure facilities are extensive and include a gym, spa, boathouse, cinema and a virtual gaming room. As part of the planning consent, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham required that this prominent riverside site achieves BREEAM Very Good to minimise the environmental impact. Contrasol worked closely with the contractors using our experience from a number of large schemes in London, focusing on value engineered shading solutions to ensure blades were expertly curved off site and incorporated into cassette systems. Meanwhile, fixing brackets were attached to the buildings core steel framework and extended through the external façade.
